Raising little Westies, and life as parent of a special needs son
This week, life was intended to be a little more relaxed than normal.
Leave the kids with their grandparents, have a day with Mum and Dad getting some time to themselves, a short work week before casually driving part-way up the coast to collec the kids again this coming weekend. Sounds great, right?
Except, life is not going to plan.
Is it a coincidence that the week they are looking after our children, Bec’s parents come down sick? Or does the stress and constancy of caring for kids take it out of a carer, leaving them more prone to coming down with the “lurgey“? An interesting topic for another time.
Right now, I know that I have driven 1300 km since my car was delivered last Thursday, and I’m set to do the same again in the coming week. On top of that, we’re still not sure if our children are intended to be at school this coming Monday while I am having my car seen to, or not. This, too, was not quite part of the plan.
